MATERIALS
Lily® Sugar ’n Cream (2.5 oz/70.9 g)
Main Color (MC): (White) 3 balls
Contrast A: (Blue) 1 ball
Contrast B: (Green) 1 ball

Size 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) circular knitting needle 36 ins [90 cm] long. Pair of size 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) double pointed needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE
20 sts and 26 rows = 4 in. [10 cm] in stocking st.

ABBREVIATIONS
M1 = make one st by picking up horizontal loop lying before next st and knitting into back of loop.

INSTRUCTIONS
With MC and circular needle, cast on 121 sts. Do not join. Working back and forth across needle, proceed as follows:
Work in stocking st for 2 ins [5 cm] ending with RS facing for next row.
Proceed as follows:
1st row: *K12. M1. Rep from * to last st. K1. 131 sts.
2nd and alt rows: Purl.
3rd row: *K13. M1. Rep from * to last st. K1. 141 sts.
5th row: With A, *K14. M1. Rep from * to last st. K1. 151 sts.
7th row: With MC, *K15. M1. Rep from * to last st. K1. 161 sts.
9th row: With B, *K16. M1. Rep from * to last st. K1. 171 sts.
With MC, cont in this manner, inc 10 sts every alt row, until there are 241 sts ending with a purl row.
Next row: *K22. K2tog. Rep from * to last st. K1. 231 sts.
Next row: Purl.
Next row: *K21. K2tog. Rep from * to last st. K1. 221 sts.
Next row: Purl.
Next row: *K20. K2tog. Rep from * to last st. K1. 211 sts.
Next row: Purl.
Cont in this manner, dec 10 sts on next and every alt row until there are 11 sts ending with a purl row. Break yarn leaving a long end. Draw yarn through rem sts and fasten securely.

Strap (make 2)
With MC, cast on 11 sts.
1st row: (RS). K1. (P1. K1) 5 times.
This row forms seed st pat.
Cont in seed st pat until work from beg measures 20 ins [51 cm]. Cast off in pat.

Cord: With MC and pair of double pointed needles, cast on 3 sts. *K3. Slide sts to right end of needle and tighten yarn. Rep from * until work from beg measures 30 ins [76 cm]. Break yarn and pull through rem sts and fasten securely.

FINISHING
Fold cast on edge of Carrier to inside to form casing 1 inch [2.5 cm] wide. Sew side seams, leaving opening at casing. Draw cord through casing and tie at ends.
Fold straps in half lengthwise and stitch tog. Sew ends of straps to each side as shown in picture.
