Contrast A Sunshine (00073) (35 m/40 yds) or 1 ball
Contrast B Black (00002) (46 m/51 yds) or 1 ball
Contrast C White (00001) (22 m/24 yds) or 1 ball

Size 4.5 mm (U.S. 7) knitting needles or size needed to obtain gauge.

GAUGE
18 sts and 34 rows = 4" [10 cm] in garter st.

INSTRUCTIONS
With B, cast on 2 sts.
**1st row: (RS). K1. yo. K1. 3 sts.
2nd row: K1. yo. K2. 4 sts.
3rd row: K1. yo. Knit to end of row. 5 sts.**
4th to 14th rows: Rep last row 11 times more. 16 sts.
15th to 18th rows: With A, K1. yo. Knit to end of row. 20 sts at end of 18th row.
19th to 22nd rows: With B, K1. yo. Knit to end of row. 24 sts at end of 22nd row.
Last 8 rows form Stripe Pat.
Keeping cont of Stripe Pat, rep last row until there are 54 sts and ending with 2 rows of B.

Next row: With B, K1. K2tog. Knit to end of row.
Keeping cont of Stripe Pat, rep last row until there are 28 sts and ending with 4 rows of A. Break A.

With B only, rep last row until there are 3 sts.
Next row: (Cast on 10 sts. Cast off 11 sts) twice for Antennae. Fasten off.

Wings (make 2).
With C, cast on 2 sts. Rep from ** to ** as given above.
Rep last row until there are 24 sts. Cast off.
Sew Wings to Body as shown in picture.
